Conquering Buck Fever

A New Instructional Video

By
James A. Swan, Ph.D.

Buck Fever!

Buck fever is hunter’s high that has gotten out of control. In this video, James Swan, Ph.D., author of In Defense of Hunting and The Sacred Art of Hunting, actor and psychologist, draws upon modern sports psychology to give hunters a number of practical techniques to develop focus, concentration and mental imagery to help manage the natural excitement of hunting and turn buck fever into the shooting in “the zone” of optimum performance. As Dr. Dr. Samuel has said in his recent review in Bowhunter, “this video will definitely help you reduce target panic and buck fever.”

Many of the examples are illustrated with archery, but the principles also apply to hunting with firearms with shotgun and rifles.Guest appearances by: Olympic medalist in double trap Kim Rhode, Ted Nugent, Dave Watson, Jeff and Sherol Engel, and former women’s national sporting clays champion Lily Sieu.

“Conquering Buck Fever” has been purchased by Hunter Education programs and instructors in California, Wisconsin, Alaska, Kansas and Colorado.
